This past Saturday (10/27/2012), we had a successful “Culture Week” event on campus. A big thank you to everyone for helping out.
Various popular Chinese traditional sports were introduced at the event, including Chinese Yoyo, Top, and Shuttlecock. We were blessed with gorgeous sunny weather. Everyone enjoyed swinging yoyos, and playing tops and shuttlecocks in the sunshine. Special thanks go to all MERC teachers for working collaboratively in developing a PowerPoint introduction for all the sports. The knowledge about each sport helped students to better enjoy the outdoor hands-on activities. We also want to thank the PTA and volunteer parents who worked as chaperons supervising outdoor activity stations. A special acknowledgement goes to our parent photographers. As always, the pictures are fabulous. This school year, our PTA has formed a Tasty Fundraiser Team that manages Food Sale. To take one step further, the plan is to have the Preorder Food Sale take place once every two or three weeks, and you can place the pre-order over the web at your fingertips.
Wouldn't it be great to have your family enjoy some tasty food together after a Saturday Chinese school? Simply fill out the pre-order form online, come to school as usual, and remember to pick up your order on the designate days. Don't want to miss the food sales coming up? Just 'like' our Facebook Page and you'll receive future food sale schedule.
