A Successful "Culture Week" Event

This past Saturday (10/27/2012), we had a successful “Culture Week” event on campus. A big thank you to everyone for helping out.

Various popular Chinese traditional sports were introduced at the event, including Chinese Yoyo, Top, and Shuttlecock. We were blessed with gorgeous sunny weather. Everyone enjoyed swinging yoyos, and playing tops and shuttlecocks in the sunshine.

Special thanks go to all MERC teachers for working collaboratively in developing a PowerPoint introduction for all the sports. The knowledge about each sport helped students to better enjoy the outdoor hands-on activities. 

We also want to thank the PTA and volunteer parents who worked as chaperons supervising outdoor activity stations. A special acknowledgement goes to our parent photographers. As always, the pictures are fabulous.
