What can you do while waiting for your child to finish his/her Chinese classes? How about sipping aromatic morning coffee and creating an enjoyable painting?
Once a month, an art class designed for MERC parents and friends will be offered. Next class will be held on Saturday, 3/3, from 9 to 10:30 am, in Room B12. We encourage everyone to come join us. We will be drinking coffee and doing an acrylic painting on 3/3.
A class fee of $25 will be charged to cover the necessary material expenses.

MERC will join other member schools and display its presentation board in the 40th anniversary historical review sponsored by the ANCCS (Association of Northern California Chinese School).
The exhibition event will be held at the Chinese Culture Center in Milpitas, from Saturday, 12/2 to Sunday, 12/10. Everyone is cordially invited, Free Admission. Please make an arrangement to visit this extraordinary exhibition.
We are delighted to present to you a review of the MERC Kaifeng Chinese School from 1995 to the present. We take pride in saying that MERC’s 22 years history is built upon the contributions from all of the parents, teachers and students. We want to especially thank David Turng, Connie Ma, Janis Wu, and Jane Wu, they helped in compiling the photos, texts and in decorating the presentation board. Their time and effort made this project a success.

The annual yearbook cover contest will begin this Saturday, 3/4. The topic for this year’s art work is “The Year of the Rooster”. The Art work needs to be turned in by Saturday, 4/1. A certificate and trophy will be awarded to the top three winners. We look forward to seeing all of the MERC students participate in this contest.
