As you are celebrating the holidays with family and friends, the MERC Admin team would like to wish each of you a joyful and peaceful holiday season. We also wish to express our appreciation for all the ways that you have supported MERC’s teaching and school activities. Looking back on 2017, we are happy to have seen students advance their Chinese vocabulary, reading and speaking skills. Looking forward to 2018, MERC teachers will help students broaden their Chinese learning experiences by participating in the Chinese New Year Celebration and academic contest.
We want to again thank Ms. Line Danant and Ms. Angela Williams, PTA Co-President, and Ms. Emily Lu, former MERC parent, for their time and effort in organizing the Parent Line Dance Class during fall semester. This class created a wonderful opportunity for parents to get acquainted with each other. In the upcoming spring semester, Ms. Ruey and Ms. Christina, MERC Art Instructors, are going to organize a parent art class specializing in acrylic painting for beginning learners - no prerequisite is required. The first class is scheduled for Saturday, 1/20/2018. More details about the parent art class will be announced in the MERC Weekly Update.
As always, the MERC admin team is doing their best to help make sure that students, teachers and parents’ needs are met. We are thankful for all of your support and dedication this past year, and we look forward to your continued support in the coming year.
Finally, we wish you peace, prosperity, health and happiness for the remainder of this year and throughout 2018.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
